The Department of Emergency Services at the Municipality of Pictou County, in partnership with other regional and provincial responders, is responsible for preparing for and responding to a wide variety of emergencies that residents in the Municipality of Pictou County may encounter.
This department works in partnership with volunteer fire departments in the county to ensure firefighters
have the training and tools they need to do their jobs effectively.
The current director of Emergency Services is Evan Hale. He also oversees Bylaw Enforcement, Fire Inspection and Building Inspection for the Municipality of Pictou County.
