Sewer Charges By-law

TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 7:00 pm the Municipal Council for the Municipality of the County of Pictou will consider amendments to its Sewer Charges By-law.

 

The Sewer Charges By-law allows the Municipal Council to establish the capital charges that residents will pay when connecting to a municipal wastewater collection system.

 

       Residents of the Municipality wishing to view the by-law in its entirety can do so at the Municipal Administration Building, 46 Municipal Drive, Pictou, N. S. during regular business hours Monday to Friday (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) or on our website at www.munpict.ca at this link.

In accordance with Section 168 (2) of the Municipal Government Act, notice of Municipal Council’s intention to adopt the Sewer Charges Bylaw has been posted on the Municipality’s website www.munpict.ca effective this the 15^th day of December 2025 and will remain posted until after the bylaw is read for the 2^nd time.
