2026/27 Grant Application Period Opens

Municipal Grant Applications for the 2026/27 fiscal period are now available. The application can be found online at this link.

Applications can be also picked up at the Municipality’s Administration Building at 46 Municipal Drive, Pictou, NS during Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Funding awarded under this policy is intended for the non-profit sector and charitable organizations who provide community-based programs and services which replace, supplement, or complement a municipal mandate and provide benefits to one or more Council district or the entire Municipality.

Applications must be returned no later than February 27th so that they can be assessed in preparation for the 2026/27 General Operating Budget.  This process assists in ensuring that sufficient funds are budgeted for grant purposes.  Consideration of funding requests received after the approval of the General Operating Budget will be limited to the availability of unallocated funds until such time as they are exhausted.

Once completed, which includes all required information, the application can be mailed to the Municipality of Pictou County, PO Box 910 Pictou, NS B0K 1H0 or dropped off in person to the Municipality’s Administration Building. Applications can also be emailed to sueann.musick@munpict.ca but you should contact the municipality at 902-485-2238 after you send the email to be sure it has been received.   Applications will not be accepted past the deadline date of Feb. 27th.

Applicants who received funding in 2025/26 and who do not complete and return their Municipal Grant Reporting Form by January 31, 2026, may be considered ineligible for further grant funding.

PLEASE NOTE: Municipal Grant funding does not replace money available under the Municipality’s Recreation Program or Municipal Services Grant Program and applicants who are accustomed to receiving funds from both programs are encouraged to contact the Recreation Coordinator or their Municipal Councillor for further information and assistance.

For more information, contact Sueann Musick, Director of Corporate Services for the Municipality of the County of Pictou at 902-485-2238 or email sueann.musick@munpict.ca.
