The Finance Department is responsible for managing all of the Municipality's fiscal affairs, building on the decisions made by Council, and following through with solid accounting, administrative services, and financial reporting. These responsibilities include:
Water and Property Tax Billing Payments:
Property tax bills are mailed in April (due in June) and August (due in October). Water bills are invoiced quarterly in January, April, July and October. Please ensure you have supplied the Municipality of Pictou County with your correct mailing address, including your P.O Box # (if you have one) to deter delayed payments and notices.
You can pay your property tax or water bills online through your bank by following these instructions:
To begin, you must have a separate payee for each; taxes and water.

Select “Pictou County Taxes”
Add all 8 digits of your Municipal Account number
Water Utility
Go to “Add Payee”
Search “Pictou”
Select “Pictou County Water”
Add all 8 digits of your Municipal Account number
