Council recently heard a presentation by Nova Scotia Forestry Contractors who have been meeting since March 2019 with Pictou County Regional Enterprise Network as well as forestry workers from Colchester and Antigonish counties. A survey was recently completed that looks at the forestry industry across the entire province over the past year and the impact of Northern Pulp's closure.
The survey results presented to Council can be viewed at https://cwfcof.org/ns-forestry-contractors.
