MOPC District 9 Coun. Peter Boyles is pleased to see a new guardrail along the Little Egypt Road. Coun. Boyles heard residents' concerns about the stretch of road and lobbied the provincial government to install a guardrail so it would be safer for motorists.
"It was a community effort along with our MLAs Pat Dunn and Tim Houston. We stuck together as a community. We said we wanted this done, we had the public meeting, we put it to them that this was a dangerous situation that something had to be done. We are thankful that once they took the time to look at it, they agreed and they did a beautiful job."
Coun. Boyles said another guardrail in the Linacy/Pine Tree Road area will also be repaired by the spring.
