PICTOU, NS – The Municipality of Pictou County has awarded two tenders for sidewalks and road maintenance.
S.W. Weeks Construction was awarded the tender for upgrades to Stanwood Drive and Barclay Ridge which are municipal-owned roads.The work will include gravel, manhole adjustments, ditching and flow checks for a cost of $89,777.
B.D Clifton Contracting was awarded the tender for sidewalk replacement in River John which will include a concrete curb, sidewalk, topsoil and sod for a cost of $145,269.22.
Both winning tenders were the lowest bids submitted to the Municipality during its tendering process. The work on both projects is expected to be completed by the New Year.
