MACLELLANS BROOK, NS - Work is continuing along the MacLellans Brook Road to replace a water main that services about 30 homes in the area.
The replacement project began in November by S.W. Weeks Construction and stretches a kilometre and a half along the road. The work is an addition to the Plymouth and MacLellan’s Brook Water Project which took place in districts 10 and 11 in 2017 that allowed residents to receive wastewater services.
Once this water main line is replaced, residents in this area will receive their water bills from the Municipality of Pictou County rather than the Town of New Glasgow who owned the previous line. The cost of this phase of the project is $432,976.35 which was shared between the federal government and the Municipality of Pictou County.
