Municipal Grant Application and Reporting Forms

Municipal Grant Applications for the 2020/21 fiscal period are now available from the Municipal Administration Building, 46 Municipal Drive, Pictou, during normal business hours by calling 485-4311 or 752-1530. 

They can also be downloaded online as well and submitted. 

Funding awarded under this policy is intended for the non-profit sector and charitable organizations that provide community-based programs and services which replace, supplement, or compliment a municipal mandate and provide benefits to one or more Council district or the entire Municipality. 

Applications must be returned no later than February 28th so that they can be assessed in preparation for the 2020/21 General Operating Budget.  This process assists in ensuring that sufficient funds are budgeted for grant purposes.  Consideration of funding requests received after the approval of the General Operating Budget will be limited to the availability of unallocated funds until such time as they are exhausted.

Municipal Grant funding does not replace money available under the Municipality’s Recreation Program or Municipal Services Grant Program and applicants who are accustomed to receiving funds from both of these programs are encouraged to contact the Recreation Coordinator or their Municipal Councillor for further information and assistance.

Applicants who received funding in 2019/20 and who do not complete and return their Municipal Grant Reporting Form by January 31, 2020 may be considered ineligible for further grant funding.
