Santa Visiting Pictou County this Weekend
Santa will be making a few visits to Pictou County this weekend. The local fire departments hosting the man in the red suit are trying to make his visits as safe as possible by following all public health regulations.
Linacy Fire Hall – Saturday at 11 a.m. Santa will greet the children outside so no need to go inside, please take your masks with you and social distance.
Eureka Fire Hall - Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Santa will be outside the fire hall handing out treat bags for a drive-thru event.
Little Harbour Fire Department hosting Santa at the Melmerby Beach Parking Lot on Sunday, Dec. 19 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Everyone is asked to remain in their vehicle, and you will be directed one vehicle at a time to drive up and have a little chat and wave to Santa. Members of the Little Harbour Fire Department will be there to assist with the event and to hand out some goodies to the children... Just look for the red light in the parking lot to find the action.
Santa is coming to River John Fire Hall on Saturday, Dec. 18th from 2 pm to 4 pm! Due to Covid, it will be a drive-by, with the treat bags being delivered to your car! The driving route will be marked to keep traffic flowing smoothly. Hope to see you there!
On Friday, Dec. 17, The Thorburn Fire Department, and members of the IOOF Moore Lodge will give Santa a tour of the village. According to Santa's Chief Elf, "The route for Santa is as follows; Starting at 6 New Row past the Rink, back to Old Row, up to High Row, Greenwood rd to Kyle and Justin rd. Coalburn to Marsh rd back past fire hall to Findlay Dan rd".
